I don't even know where to start so I'll start with a honest comment: I never liked mechas and I generally distrust shows based around them. However I can appreciate an anime that has mechas in it if it's good. For exemple Code Geass is pretty great and it has mechas. But as soon as I started Neon Genesis Evangelion I understood something was just not right.
