2019-03-15 (Victory Gram Republic Campaign)

USITEMP2: By nighttime, a small Victory Gram Republic team uses a glider to slip unnoticed in Vixenford occupied territories, in the hills of North-West Altis, with the intent to steal one of their tanks. The 5-men team lands safely but are spotted as they approach their objective. One guy survives and manages to enter a tank, and to bring it back all the way up to Rodopoli, nearly spotted on the way by two NATA Rhino anti-tank vehicles patrolling the freezed frontline.
Meta: The AI will never cease to surprise me, being both so incompetent and proficient. It is perfectly capable of landing the glider exactly where I told it to. Unfortunately we were indeed spotted less than 100 meters from the empty tanks we were supposed to steal. An intense firefight (laserfight) ensues, with W40K lasers lighting up everywhere above my head as I laid down on the grass. I stole the tank and left the scene safely. I hadn't anticipated there were so much ground to cover between the hills of N-W Altis and Rodopoli. Even at speed 4x it took 15 minutes to get there, and I was almost spotted by 2 Rhino AT vehicles that I had set up myself on a clever patrol path between Kalithea and Talos. Fortunately I spotted them first, so I stopped my engine and let them pass. Then, once they were gone, I restarted the engine and got safely to the city (Rodopoli).
