PREHISTORY

• -13 000 000 000 BC : the universe is created
• -4 000 000 000 BC : Earth appears
• -66 000 000 BC : dinosaurs go extinct
• ~-150 000 BC : humans as we know them today "appear"

HISTORY

• -4 000 BC : History proper begins
• -2 000 BC : Africa : Ancient Egypt
• ~100 : Europe : Ancient Greece and Roman Empire
• 200 : Far-East : Romance of the Three Kingdoms
• 500 to 1500 : Middle-Age
• ~1234 : Africa : Sundiata Keita, helped by his allies, retake his lands and throne by getting rid of Soumaoro Kanté. The Sosso Empire is defeated and the Mali Empire is created with Sundiata at its head, as told in the Epic of Sundiata
• ~1300 : Africa : Mansa Musa becomes Emperor of Mali
• 1492 : Europe takes note that the North American continent exists
• 1500 to 1700 : Europe : Renaissance
• 1700 : Europe : Louis XIV, Lumières
• 1789 : Europe : French Revolution
• 1795 : Europe : War in Europe
• 1805 : Europe : Napoleon becomes Emperor
• 1815 : Europe : The French Empire dies out

• 1939 : Europe : Germany invades Poland and Allies declare war
• 1941 : Japanese Empire attacks the US Pacific Fleet. War becomes global (WW2 begins)
• 1942 : Nazi Germany and Japanese Empire at the top of their height
• 1943 : Europe : Yalta
• 1944 : Europe : Allies landings in Normandy
• 1945 : Europe : Allies win the war in Europe. Far East : Yamato is sunk. USA drop atomic bombs on Japan. They win the war in the Pacific
• 1950 : Far East : Korea War
• 1960 : Africa : Congo (RDC) gains its independence. Far East : Viet-Nam war
• 1961 : Patrice Lumumba is murdered in Katanga.
• 1968 : 1968 happens. Many events occur
• 1969 : US land on the moon
