The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, or GEACPS (sometimes GEACS), is officially an economic alliance between the Japanese Empire and various countries of East Asia. It is one of the two major powers in USI6, the other being the African Union.
History
After the reorganization of the world, old Japan naturally reformed itself and became the Japanese Empire -- the continuation of the old one that ended during the XXth Century. As the only State power in East Asia left with military means, the Empire easily took control of its surroundings, and formed its long dreamt-of Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.
While the XXth Century GEACPS was little more than a propaganda term, the present one is a solid political entity, although officially first and foremost an economic alliance between all the countries of East Asia. Thanks to it, the countries of the region were able to rebuild or recover most lost or abandonned production structures.
